“Buurtjournaal” is a project that was realized through the Gangmakers children’s creative program hosted by social design studio The Beach in Amsterdam. In a 10 week creative course for children age 7 to 12.
During the course the students created a series of work with different forms of media, such as: photography, videography, illustration and podcast making. These are the illustrations made for everyone’s own newspaper, which contains their stories about their daily lives and their neighbourhood.
The newspaper was made in collaboration with illustrator Fadi Noudrous
